Christian Vandendorpe studies language and reading from a semiotic and cognitive perspective. He is a professor in the Department of French Studies at the University of Ottawa. Author of Du papyrus à l'hypertexte, Essai sur les mutations du texte et de la lecture (Montréal, Éditions du Boréal et Paris, Éditions La Découverte, 1999), he also co-edited a volume Hypertextes. Espaces de lecture et d'écriture (Québec, Éditions Nota Bene, 2002).
