Claude Rosental has conducted research in the fields of sociology, history and the philosophy of science. More particularly, he has been working on logic and proof practices. He is carrying out his research at SHADYC (a CNRS/EHESS research center) and at the School of Social Science of the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton. His latest book is entitled "La trame de l'évidence. Sociologie de la démonstration en logique", Paris, Presses Universitaires de France, 2003.
