Jacques Morizot is professor of aesthetics at the Université de Paris 8 and
research associate at the CNRS(CRAL). Key publications: La Philosophie de
l'art de Nelson Goodman (J. Chambon, 1996); Sur le problème de Borges (Kimé,
1999); Questions d'esthétique (with J.-P. Cometti and R. Pouivet) (PUF,
2000); Qu'est-ce qu'une image? (Vrin, 2005). His main research areas are
pictorial representation, intermodal depiction, and creativity and
cognition.
