Maurizio Giri
Maurizio Giri holds a diploma of Musical Composition (Morlacchi Conservatory in Perugia, 1988) and a diploma of advanced studies in Musical Composition (Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, 1990). He has worked in Computer Music and new technologies applied to sound processing and musical composition; applications for algorhitmic composition and live electronics; acoustic, electroacustic and computer music. He has given concerts in Europe, recorded CD and now teaches Musical Composition and Musical informatics. He has collaborated to the book “Il Suono Virtuale” (1999-2001 Virtual Sound, based on Csound, developed by MIT), developed a software (Hyperspace) for sound spatialisation as resident artist at GRAME (Centre National de Création Musicale) in Lyon and presently writes a textbook for advanced functionalities in Max.
